Nadi
Hi guys!!!i cam across the 13.8V 20A power supply project by Santa Cruz http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/power/002/index.htmlFisrt, thank you very much for this informative project!second, i have some question,i have a transformer who get 220v as input and on the output it give 17~18v 400VAmy question is are this transformer can handle 30A right? 33.3A (400/12)so if i am did not wrong, how can i use this transformer in this circuit? i mean to get 30A output? what should i change? Thank you very much, and sorry for my poor English.
audioguru
I came across the 13.8V 20A power supply project by Santa Cruz.I have a transformer which has 220v as input and on the output it gives 17~18v at 400VA.Can transformer handle 30A? 33.3A (400/12)No.Your transformer has a max output of 17V to 18V at 400VA. Then its max output current is 400/17V= 23.5A.
Nadi
HO, you right thank you, 12 is only after the bridge and DC...but i still need to change some materials here.... am i right?
Hero999
Yes,you need a larger transformer amongst other things. Read the text associated with the project: it gives a clear explanation of how it works and how to alter the current limit.

Guest Artk
Hi there, I also reproduced http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/power/002/index.html but I need your help to regulate tension from 1.5 to 14V, so I'll appreciate your suggested wiring and component values if I'm considering connect 7812 IC1 in ground terminal to a P2. Thanks and regards.
