I want to power the project with an 18V Dewalt DC9096 battery. I need +12V and +9. When I try to use LM 7812 / 7809, I burn the voltage regulators out with no load on them. I really am at a loss as to why they are burning out, unless it is something to do with the DC9096 battery pack.Battery Specs...Chemistry NiMHVoltage 18Capacity 3000 mAh / 3.00 AhRating 54 WhrCell 15 cellsIs there something I'm missing?
