Hero999
The clue lies in the symbol at the bottom of the package.
Guest tjeffords
I thought the symbol was for I diode but I have never seen one that has two of the symbols pointed towards each other with a dot in the center.
Hero999
You're right, it's a pair of diodes. It's actually quite common to get high power diodes in this kind of configuration. They're commonly used to connect two batteries together or as as a full wave rectifier with a centre tapped transformer in a switched mode power supply.Have you tried typing the part number into a search engine? The Master
A quick look on Google for SBL 3045-PT led me to Digikey.http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/SBL3045PT/SBL3045PT-ND/1935315It is a SCHOTTKY Diode 45V 30A TO3P pkg (dual diode) classed as obsolete. A replacement was suggested as a SBL3030 PT .Cheers, Jeffaka, The Master==============
