b4surani
Currently we are facing some problems in relay module. We are using sugar cube relay of 12VDC coil and 10A/250VAC contact rating of LEONE brand for appliances control from micro controller. The issue is while switching fan from level 1 to 4 or 4 to 1 vice versa, controller is getting restart. Hence for the solution of this we used snubber ckt (1uF/250VAC+100ohm5%1W). We almost got complete solution by doing this. But after a while we are getting complaints from our clients/customers that fan is continuously working after switching it off from micro controller interface, technically we can say relay is being stucked anyhow. If we tap on relay, its contact is getting released and it will start working as it should. But after a while again it is happening the same and same… So we are asking you for technical help for this issue, kindly update us if you have any solution or ever faced same kind of issue, hence we can get out of this trouble. Pl update us earliest possible. Thank you for your time.
audioguru
I think the inductance of the load is producing a big spark in the relay contacts that welds them shut. Use a relay made to switch higher current. Its contacts will be larger and its spring will be stronger.
