u-blox has recently released the X20 all-band GNSS module designed to provide centimeter-level accuracy in a global market. The module includes a multi-band GNSS receiver along with an L-band receiver which receives signals from L1, L2, L5, and the new L6/E6 bands. The module also supports RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) and PPP (Precise Point Positioning) correction for improved positioning in industrial automation, automotive, UAVs, and robotics.  Additionally, the module has a bunch of unique features including advanced security functions such as secure boot, firmware updates, anti-jamming, and anti-spoofing capabilities, along with high update rates and global positioning availability, even in challenging environments. These features make this device suitable for applications including industrial automation, automotive, UAVs, and ground robotics.

Previously we have written about similar GNSS modules and ICs including the Abracon ACR1004GC GNSS + GPSL5 chip, the u-blox F10 module, the Antenova M20072 GNSS Receiver and much more feel free to check those out if you are interested in the topic.

The u-blox X20 all-band GNSS module improves accuracy, reliability, and security by supporting L1, L2, L5, and the new L6/E6 band frequencies. It offers better Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), enhanced RTK performance, and access to global PPP services like Galileo HAS, as well as regional PPP services like MADOCA-PPP. It also complies with regional regulations like AIS-140 for NavIC in India and provides better immunity against jamming and spoofing. The X20 builds on the ZED-F9P with integrated L-band GNSS receiver technology, offering easy upgrades from the F9 series. Key features include secure boot, firmware updates, and anti-jamming protection, with a high update rate (exact value unspecified).

In terms of software, the company mentions that the u-blox X20 all-band GNSS module is software upgradable, though details are limited, and there is no detailed information available like datasheets, specifications, or pricing. Additional information about the module can be found on their product page or press release page.
