Affordable LILYGO T7-C6 Compact Development Board Featuring ESP32-C6 chip and Qwiic connector for Arduino IDE and Micropython
LILYGO has recently showcased the T7-C6, a compact development board featuring the ESP32-C6-MINI-1 module with 4MB Flash. It supports wireless protocols like 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 (LE), and IEEE 802.15.4, making it ideal for IoT applications. It is programmable in C/C++, Micropython, and Lua and is compatible with platforms like Arduino IDE, VS Code, and ESP-IDF. Key onboard features include Qwiic 4-pin connectors, BOOT and Reset buttons, and a switch, allowing easy integration with sensors and modules. It is shipped worldwide and includes options for built-in or external antennas for developers. This T7-C6 board can be used for IoT devices, smart home projects, and wireless communication setups.
The ESP32-C6-MINI-1 is a single-core 32-bit RISC-V processor that operates at speeds of up to 160 MHz. It features 320 KB of ROM, 512 KB of fast SRAM, and 16 KB of low-power SRAM for efficient processing and memory handling.
Additionally, the board’s Wi-Fi supports MCS0 to MCS9 modulation, uplinks and downlink OFDMA, and downlink MU-MIMO, with Beamformee technology improving signal strength. It is certified for Bluetooth LE 5.3, offering features like Bluetooth mesh networking and data speeds from 125 Kbps to 2 Mbps. The board also adheres to the IEEE 802.15.4-2015 standard, enabling OQPSK PHY in the 2.4 GHz band with a 250 Kbps data rate, and supports Thread 1.3 and Zigbee 3.0 protocols.
Previously, we wrote about the LILYGO T3 TCXO and the T3 S3 LR1121, ESP32-based development boards. We have also covered LILYGO’s T-Display S3 AMOLED Plus and T-Embed, featuring an ESP32 chip with a display panel. These are also used for IoT applications, feel free to check those out.
