Dusun DSGK-061 Edge AI Box is built for Industrial Automation and also Supports VNC

Dusun has recently released the Dusun DSGK-061 Edge AI box, a Rockchip RK3568-powered AI box that also features 1 TOPS NPU for edge computing.  This new Edge AI gateway comes pre-installed with VNC (Virtual Network Computing) applications and features communication protocols such as HDMI, USB 3.0, TTL serial, LAN/WAN, and WiFi. With a wide temperature range and support for multiple interfaces, this device becomes suitable for applications like industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and more.

The company mentions that its Edge AI box enables HMI devices to connect to its virtual system via VNC, facilitating application development and system-level function execution. This method lowers the cost of device upgrades and simplifies remote monitoring and management of industrial equipment, eliminating the need for costly replacements. While software such as TightVNC and RealVNC can be easily installed on Linux or Android platforms, it’s unclear what advantages Dusun IoT’s VNC solution offers over these existing options.

When it comes to software the product and specification pages provide conflicting information, the products page mentions Android 12 support, while the specification page mentions Android 11 and Debian 11. Other than that the product page highlights that it can be used for Qt-based secondary development, open-source SDKs, MQTT protocol support, and professional FAE assistance for developers. The Dusun DSGK-061 Edge AI box is not available at the time of writing but the company plans to release the product soon.
