The MS-1P17 Ultra Slim Fanless Box PC MSI is powered by Intel Alder Lake-N processors, providing an ultra-low-power solution ideal for industrial applications. It supports up to 16GB of DDR5 4800 MHz memory via a SO-DIMM slot and offers dual independent display outputs through DisplayPort and HDMI. Its slim, fanless 25mm design makes it suitable for space-constrained installations.

The system is equipped with two 2.5 GbE LAN ports for fast, reliable networking, and offers expansion options through one M.2 B Key and one M.2 E Key slot. Connectivity features include 4 USB 3.1 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, RS-485 communication, audio, and two reserved antenna slots. It operates on a 12-24V DC input, designed to meet the demands of various industrial environments.

The key difference between the models is that the Core i3 variant lacks the Infineon SLB9672VU2.0 TPM controller, while other variants include it. The platform supports multiple operating systems, including Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC (64-bit, 21H2), Windows 11 IoT Enterprise (64-bit, 22H2, Pre-scan), and Linux upon request.

The system offers flexible mounting options with both stand and VESA mount configurations, suitable for various installation needs. The included stand is made of ABS+PC material and measures 199.8 x 64 x 28 mm, providing a durable and compact solution for supporting the device.
