Pineboards HatDrive! PoE+ HAT for Raspberry Pi 5 with Power, Networking, and NVMe Storage Support
Pineboards has recently introduced the HatDrive! PoE+ versatile Power over Ethernet (PoE) HAT, designed for the Raspberry Pi 5, combines power delivery, networking, and high-speed storage in a single accessory. It supports PoE+ with up to 25W, providing the full 5V 5A required by the Raspberry Pi 5 without additional configuration, ensuring adequate power for connected USB devices. It also features an M.2 M-Key connector, enabling compatibility with NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, and 2280 form factors for fast boot storage. Manufactured with premium UK-sourced components, the HatDrive! PoE+ has undergone rigorous testing to ensure reliability and efficiency under maximum loads.
This PoE+ HAT combines power and network connectivity through a single RJ45 cable, simplifying setups by reducing the need for extra power cables. Convenient access to the Raspberry Pi’s camera and display connectors is provided by the design, making it well-suited for setups in remote locations. Use cases such as home labs, IoT projects, or networked Raspberry Pi applications, demand reliable power and connectivity solutions, seamlessly combining PoE and high-speed NVMe storage.
Previously, we reviewed Pineboards AI bundle HAT+ for Raspberry PI, which is almost similar to this HatDrive! PoE+. We have also covered some similar products including the Raspberry Pi PoE+ HAT, the W01 U2500 by 52Pi, and many more. Feel free to check those out, if you are interested in this topic.
