Pineboards has recently launched the Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5 carrier boards (Modulo4, Modulo5 Basic, and Modulo5 IO PoE+) designed to adapt Raspberry Pi Compute Modules (CM4 and CM5) to the Raspberry Pi’s form factor while maintaining compatibility with PCIe HATs, cases, and cooling solutions. The Modulo5 IO PoE+ variant integrates PoE+ for network-powered operation.

These boards feature dual micro HDMI ports, Gigabit Ethernet, USB ports, a 40-pin GPIO header, and an impedance-controlled PCIe connector for high-speed applications like storage and AI acceleration. While the Modulo4 supports CM4 and the Modulo5 supports CM5, their layouts align with the Raspberry Pi 5, ensuring accessory compatibility. The Modulo5 IO PoE+ includes additional features like full-size HDMI, an M.2 2280 slot, a power button, and status LEDs. These features make this board useful for embedded computing, industrial automation, and IoT applications.
