The ICP Industrial Computers has recently launched the QBiP-N97A (MADN9AS) from GIGAIPC, a 3.5” SubCompact Embedded Motherboard featuring an Intel® Processor N97 with 4 cores, a maximum speed of 3.60 GHz, and a thermal design power (TDP) of 12W. Designed for industrial and embedded applications, this board supports single-channel DDR5 memory up to 16 GB, includes 2 x 2.5GbE LAN ports, and provides versatile connectivity with 4 COM ports, 1 SATA 6Gb/s port, and both HDMI and LVDS video outputs supporting multiple independent displays. Additional features include onboard TPM 2.0 for enhanced security, audio support via Realtek® ALC897, and expansion options through M.2 slots and mini PCIe. It is compatible with Windows® 10/11 (x64) operating systems and designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures (0°C to 60°C).

In small-sized places, this motherboard mainly provides solid performance. This  Motherboard is perfect for things like digital signs, factory automation, and IoT edge devices. Optional accessories, like fanless heatsinks and fansinks, are available to optimize cooling solutions.

Previously, we have written about some more interesting SBCs like the IBASE IB961 3.5″ SBC, the Radexa’s Rock 2A SBC the Banana Pi BPI-F3 SBC, and much more, feel free to check those out if you are interested in the topic.

As far as I understand, the QBiP-N97A (MADN9AS) is a compact and versatile motherboard designed for industrial and embedded applications. It can handle up to three displays at the same time. This SBC can connect to a lot of different things. You can add extra parts to it because it has several slots, and it supports the Intel® N-series processor, so it’s perfect for digital signs or factory machines. It works with Windows 10 and 11, and it can handle really hot or really cold temperatures. Therefore, it’s a good choice for a bunch of different setups. Additionally, the cooling options help this SBC keep it running smoothly in any situation. If you need a small but powerful computer, this one’s a good choice.

This SBC is available on the ICP Industrial Computers official product page. However, you have to log into the portal to see the price, or you can get a quotation if it is not available for order.
