Quectel has introduced a compact and high-performance wireless connectivity module, FCM363X, designed for short-range communication and supporting both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The company emphasizes that this module is tailored for IoT applications, including smart home devices, industrial automation, and embedded systems.

In terms of wireless capabilities, the module supports the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands for Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax), which provides enhanced efficiency, speed, and reduced latency. It incorporates WPA2/WPA3 authentication and Wi-Fi enterprise security to ensure secure wireless communication. For Bluetooth 5.3, the module is engineered for low power consumption while delivering improved range and efficiency, accompanied by enhanced security features through Bluetooth LE Secure Connections.

At the core of the FCM363X is the Arm Cortex-M33 processor, operating at a frequency of up to 260MHz. The module is equipped with 1.2MB of built-in memory and 8MB of flash storage, with the option to expand PSRAM for more complex applications. With its compact design, the device weighs just 1.5 grams and operates within a wide temperature range, making it suitable for industrial applications.
