It represents the “push” or force that drives electric charges to move through a conductor, such as a wire. Voltage is typically denoted by the symbol “V” and is measured in volts (V).

Current, on the other hand, is the flow of electric charge through a conductor. It is the rate at which charges move past a given point in a circuit. Current is typically denoted by the symbol “I” and is measured in amperes (A).

The relationship between voltage, current, and resistance is described by Ohm’s Law, which states that the current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage across it and inversely proportional to the resistance of the conductor. Mathematically, Ohm’s Law can be expressed as:

I = V / R

where I represents the current in amperes, V represents the voltage in volts, and R represents the resistance in ohms.

In summary, voltage is the driving force that causes electric charges to move, while current is the flow of those charges. They are interconnected through Ohm’s Law and are fundamental concepts in understanding and analyzing electrical circuits.
