Radxa Orion O6: Mini-ITX Board with Cix CD8180 with a 30 TOPS AI accelerator
The Radxa Orion O6 is a mini-ITX motherboard built around the Cix CD8180 12-core ARM v9 SoC. It is designed for efficient multitasking and resource allocation in compact systems. The SoC integrates a CPU with a 12-core ARM v9.2 architecture, including four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8 GHz for low-power tasks.
The Cix CD8180 SoC features a 5th Gen ARM Immortalis-G720 MC10 GPU for graphics processing, supporting Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, and hardware ray tracing. Additionally, the integrated NPU delivers up to 30 TOPS of AI acceleration, resulting in a combined 45 TOPS for AI inference, with support for various precision formats.
The Orion O6 supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM and includes an M.2 NVMe SSD slot using PCIe Gen4 4-lane connectivity for storage. Networking options include dual 5Gbps Ethernet ports, while wireless connectivity is enabled through an M.2 E Key connector for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth modules.
