The Renesas RRH62000 series is an integrated sensor module that measures air quality parameters like particulate matter (PM), total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), Indoor Air Quality Index (IAQ), estimated CO2 (eCO2), temperature (T), and relative humidity (RH). It gives digital outputs for each sensor, supports simultaneous measurements, and uses built-in correction algorithms to improve accuracy. The module handles internal control and arithmetic processing, reducing the host MCU load and simplifying integration.

The RRH62000 offers selectable I2C or UART interfaces and operating modes based on the required response time and accuracy. The sensors are housed inside the module to prevent dust-related issues, and the airflow channel has a self-cleaning high-speed fan. It uses a six-pin connector for easy plug-and-play.

The RRH62000 is available with the RRH62000-EVK evaluation kit, designed to simplify testing of the sensor module. The kit lets the module measure critical air quality parameters and connect to a Windows PC via USB. It includes a USB cable, an ESCom board, the RRH62000 sensor module, and a Quick Start Guide.

Jumper Settings and Connectors on the Environmental Sensor Communication Board

The RRH62000-EVK software, ES-Eval, is a graphical interface for configuring and evaluating the RRH62000 environmental sensor module. It includes sections for measurement control, sensor selection, algorithm configuration, signal analysis, and real-time data visualization. The software automatically checks and installs firmware updates for the ESCom communication board during startup. ES-Eval is available for download from the Renesas website.

The documentation for the kits includes a quick start manual, a list of components (BoM), circuit diagrams, and PCB design files for development and production purposes. All these resources are available on their respective product pages.
