The MR60FDA2 is a 60GHz mmWave radar sensor for fall detection and human presence monitoring, with a sensing radius of 2 meters when mounted at 2.2–3.0 meters height. It operates best in open spaces and must avoid interference from nearby radars, moving objects, water flow, reflective surfaces, and vibrations. The sensor cannot detect through glass or thin wooden materials and requires a high-quality power source for stable performance.

The MR60BHA2 is a 60GHz mmWave radar sensor for breathing and heartbeat monitoring, offering two installation methods. For general detection, it is side-mounted at chest height, within 1.5 meters of the subject. For sleep monitoring, it is mounted 1 meter above the bed, tilted 45° downward, and aligned with the chest cavity at a maximum distance of 1.5 meters. Proper alignment ensures accurate detection of respiratory and heartbeat data.

The XIAO ESP32C6 powers both modules, pre-flashed with ESPHome firmware to integrate easily with Home Assistant. Seeed Studio offers the flexibility to program the board using the ESP-IDF framework or Arduino IDE. Detailed setup guides and sample code for Fall Detection and Breathing and Heartbeat Detection are available on the wiki pages. For further support, Seeed provides an example code for the Arduino mmWave Library for XIAO, including loading instructions on GitHub.

The Seeed Studio 60GHz mmWave human fall detection, breathing, and heartbeat detection sensor kits are now available in the official store for $22.90.
