Waveshare has recently launched the ESP32-S3-AMOLED-1.91-M dev board which is an ESP32-S3-based board with a 1.91″ AMOLED display, designed for rapid prototyping and IoT or portable projects Powered by the ESP32-S3R8 chip, it includes a 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor (up to 240MHz), 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth BLE 5, 16MB Flash, 8MB PSRAM, and additional SRAM/ROM memory. The display, with a 240 × 536 resolution, supports 16.7 million colors and is driven by the RM67162 controller, making it ideal for GUI applications. Available in touch and non-touch versions, it also features a 6-axis IMU for motion-sensitive applications, USB Type-C, MicroSD storage, and a LiPo battery header for portable use.

In terms of software, the ESP32-S3-AMOLED-1.91-M dev board can be programmed with multiple software environments, including ESP-IDF and Arduino. However, at the time of writing, the documentation page for this board is not yet available on Waveshare.
The development board is priced at around EUR 66.47 for the base model which excludes soldered headers and touch functionality. Adding touch capability is an additional $5.00, and pre-soldered pin headers are available for $1.00.
