Waveshare has recently launched a new ESP32-C6-Pico Board that has a similar form factor to the Raspberry Pi Pico. However, instead of an RP2040 chip, the board is built around an ESP32-C6-MINI-1 module. This little tweak makes the board compatible with a series of Waveshare LED displays, RS-232, NB-IoT, and other boards.

The ESP32-C6-MINI-1 enables the board to access features like Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5, Zigbee 3.0, and Thread 1.3. On top of that, the board also includes a TCA9554PWR IO expander IC, which adds seven more pins to this board.

Previously, we have covered many similar boards based on the ESP32-C6 module. These include the Beetle ESP32-C6 Board, FireBeetle 2 ESP32-C6, SparkFun ESP32-C6, and other similar boards. Feel free to check those out if you are looking for ESP-based boards.
