  • CBB/GAC (Current Branch for Business/General Availability Channel): Annual kernel feature updates with regular security and other updates.
  • LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel): Focuses on stability with an unchanged kernel, eliminating unexpected feature updates. Security updates are available and can be managed by device manufacturers.

This new embedded OS includes security features like System Guard, attack surface area reduction, and the Windows Security App. These tools protect against modern threats and ensure your IoT systems are safe. The OS also offers advanced app management capabilities, with features like Windows Sandbox and Microsoft Defender Application Guard for extra protection.
